Trusting God For Your Provisions

Trusting God For Your Provisions
Pastor Rickey Hunt

Matt.6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Man will fail you, financial institutions will fail you, jobs will fail you, but God never will fail you. In these shaky financial times of lack we need to learn to trust God for our provisions. We have to ask ourselves a question, where is our trust? Is it in God or in our money? A good way to test ourselves to see if our trust is in God or money, is to see if we have peace when we are lacking finances. If we are worrying about a lack of money, there lies our trust. We don’t realize it, but many times we have more faith in our money than we do in God. This is sometimes hard to swallow, but it is something we need to see.
In summary, Matt. 6:33 is saying, “Seek God first and all these things will be added to you”. What are “all these things”? When you go back to verse 27 to verse 32, you can see he is talking about not worrying about clothing, food, and drink. These scriptures deal with trusting God and not worrying about tomorrow’s provision. When we find ourselves worrying about finances, we haven’t really put it in the hands of God. We all have been guilty of this. We must continue to check ourselves where our trust lies, in money or God?
